The Secret of the World - 2003 Songs about real life with moving storytelling. It is an album that develops themes of reality versus illusion and it does it through a variety of styles, Blues (Answering Machine), Rock (Other People's Lives..a song about watching too much t.v) folk (If you would listen, Secret of the World) and a hint of jazz (some great solos in Pied Piper). It has songs about faith (Nicodemus song..If you would listen) and about everyday things too (My Street) Nicky's love hate relationship with the life of a musician is written about in Pied Piper. What we sow now poses the ultimate reminder... what we invest our time and energy in really matters. |

Copernicus - 1996 Adrian Hannan and Rod Wilson of Melbourne this C.D has her songwriting clothed simply and tastefully throughout. Copernicus is a song about Nicky's conversion experience to Christianity. Hope is about longing for eternal things and Blank Blue Sky is a very moving ballad about resurrection and life after death. Paris is a protest song that asks questions about the culture that led to us having such a high teenage suicide rate. The rockiest track on the album is It's not just a feel thing reflecting how you can't just make up God in your head and think he's real. |

Speechless - 1993 Nicky's first solo album made in 1993. Ballads about different events in the life of Jesus plus reflections upon our own lives in light of Jesus (Sex and Beauty). The woman caught in adultery (John 8) is the subject of No Shelter and this is still one of Nicky's favourite songs. She still perfoms it regularly at gigs. Speechless is a re telling of the Prodigal son story. |
